Hi! I’m Caroline.

I’m from the beautiful south of England. I trained as a teacher and then left England for my first teaching job in the hill tribes of northern Thailand. After a fascinating and eventful year in Asia, I meandered my way back to Europe, eventually arriving in Portugal in 1992. I moved to Ribamar and started working at IH Torres Vedras in 2007. Since then, I have worked in different roles within the school and am now the Director of Studies.

I feel incredibly lucky to be able to say that I love my job, the team I work with, and the amazing students I have the privilege of meeting. One of the things I love most about the school is that everyone works towards the same goal — providing the best possible learning experience for every student who joins us. We are always looking for ways to improve, and we take great pride in our students’ achievements.

When I’m not working, I love spending time with my family and my dog, going for long walks, reading, and travelling. My life is busy, but that’s the way I like it!
