Hi, I'm Farheen.

I’ve lived and worked in the UAE, Canada and now Portugal, so English has been part of a fairly well-travelled life!

My background is in training, coaching and communication, and after many years working with adults, I completed my CELTA and moved more deeply into English teaching. I especially enjoy helping students feel confident enough to speak, make mistakes, laugh about them and keep going.

I’m very happy to be part of IH Torres Vedras and excited to be working with learners of different ages.

Outside the classroom, I write, practise yoga and meditation, read far too many books, and spend a lot of time walking by the sea with my dog Bella — who, despite years of exposure, still refuses to speak English.

I believe learning works best when there is curiosity, confidence and a little bit of fun.
