Hi I’m Kelly

I’m originally from Canada, but Portugal is now my home. After completing my degree in Art History, I decided to follow my passion for learning and began my journey as an English teacher. I completed the CELTA course and have been teaching ever since.

Teaching has always felt like the right path for me. My teachers were wonderful role models and an inspiration, and I hope to be that same positive influence for my students. I enjoy working with learners of all ages and levels, and I love bringing creativity and artistic elements into my lessons whenever I can.

I’m currently part of the fantastic team at IH Torres Vedras, where I feel lucky to work with such supportive colleagues and enthusiastic students.

Outside the classroom, I enjoy playing board games and video games, cooking, going on picnics, and listening to music. I believe learning should be fun and meaningful, and I try to bring curiosity, creativity, and joy into everything I do—both in and out of the classroom.
