Hello! I’m Simon

I’ve been working at IH Torres Vedras for nearly 10 years.

I settled here in 2016 after some years travelling around the world to Australia, Indonesia and Germany to name a few countries, but Portugal really captivated me with its nature, people and food.

I gained my TESOL qualification in my home city of Bristol and have worked at summer schools in the UK alongside teaching a variety of levels and types of classes here in Torres. From business English to adult classes to 1 to 1 lessons, I really enjoy teaching English to my students and learning new things from them as well! I am also a qualified speaking examiner for Young Learners, Preliminary and First Cambridge exam levels.

My passions are following a multitude of sports, being in the ocean whenever it’s warm enough, reading, walking my two dogs and watching sci-fi films with my fiancée Charissa!
